First Steps

I have been reading a lot about the GM diet and have decided to give it a shot.
Today is Day 1 ..the only fruits day.

Last evening, went and bought myself a huge papaya and a musk melon.
Woke up this morning as usual at 6:00 AM and boiled milk to get tea ready for husband and me.
It was then I remembered, no tea with milk and sugar.
Fixed myself a herb tea..found it hard to ingest, contemplated adding a little sugar (the fat image of mine starting to laugh at me) and quietly drank it as if it was some MTK kashayam (MTK : mahathikthatham ..the most bitter medicine I have been prescribed so far..you are not allowed to drink water after you drink this and the bitter taste lingers for eternity in your mouth) and resolved to myself that once I lose all the fat, I will never allow myself to become fat again.
Got the newspaper, looked at all the 40+ women who had maintained themselves so well and told myself that I'll be there soon and fit into my wedding blouses...not a tall order as this is my second attempt at weight loss. The first time I lost 13 kgs but that was when I went to gym and followed a dietitician plan to the last letter. Now I don't have the luxury and I am all alone.

Drank 3 glasses of water (made a mental note of taking a huge bottle of water to office).
Packed half the papaya and some pomogranate in a box.
Made bisi bele bath BBB for husband's lunch and was so tempted to have a small cup but successfully resisted. Never before did BBB look so delicious as it was this morning. Almost thought, just ditch this diet and start tomorrow but I have postponed this twice already and I didn't want to make postponement a habit.

In office, lunch/snacks has been this papaya and pomogranate. Without the regular morning tea, I almost dozed off in my desk waiting for some code to compile successfully.
I agree with the thtwinmom(http://thetwinmom.blogspot.com) that the first day is the hardest in the GM diet.
Waiting for tomorrow, I can eat cooked vegetables and I am already armed with the subjis and curries and masalas to relish something tasty.

Today's weight : 75.6
